Google & HMCT: Typography Campaign

BRIEF: ‘Find a genre, song or musical movement that best represents a cause and use typography to bring it to life. Create a typography-first campaign with both physical and design elements to inspire your audience to discover more about the issue(s) and, where relevant, spark a call to action.’

Using a variety of fonts - some further exaggerated, I highlight the pressures women are under to look/behave a certain way in their day-to-day lives. But really emphasising how there are so many different standards, almost like they’re all coming at you from different angles, one positive, then one negative. Leaving us confused and distressed.

Google Brief - Lyric Video

Extending from the work above, I also decided to create an impactful lyric-style video.

The text I’ve used, comes from real songs/raps from artists like Eminem & J. Cole. So I decided to bring the words to life & animate them how they might affect an individual.

The video is designed to confuse the viewer, to perceive how women might feel being told a million different things all at once.
